Stay with us to know who are the Future India Finishers.

StumpsandBails looks at 5 players India must potentially look to groom as finishers:

#5 Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan made news when he smashed runs for Mumbai in school cricket. Khan was a prolific run-scorer who married aggression with consistency. He is one of the most consistent batsmen for Mumbai in domestic tournaments. Kings surprisingly haven’t given Khan a consistent run in IPL. His strike rate is 88 in List A cricket and 135 in domestic T20s. He is a 360-degree batter who can be a fine fit in the modern scheme of things.

#4 Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag is one of the most exciting young cricketers. Rajasthan Royals have invested in Parag and the results at this point are surely mixed. But that doesn’t take away the fact that there is serious potential in Parag. He can effortlessly strike the ball right from the word go. He is a handy bowler who can chip in with a couple of overs. Parag is a gun fielder too. He is a complete package.

#3 Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda has been on the radar for quite some time now. His effortless ball striking is there for everyone to see. Hooda has played many valuable knocks in the IPL. His knock against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 was top quality. Hooda strikes at 93 and averages 38 in List A cricket. He is 26 years old but carries a wealth of experience. Hooda can be a great candidate to look after the finishing duties.

#2 Lalit Yadav

Lalit Yadav impressed one and all with his talent and temperament in IPL 2021. His off-spin was particularly difficult to get away from. Yadav got a solitary chance to prove himself with the bat and he gave a good account of himself in that game. His domestic numbers are impressive too. He averages 41.7 and strikes at 88.4 in List A cricket. His T20 strike rate of 142.8 suggests there is something special about him.

#1 Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan generated a lot of hype before IPL 2021 auctions. He went for INR 5.25 crores. Khan has arguably justified the hype and faith surrounding him. Cricketing legends like Anil Kumble and Virender Sehwag have already compared him with a force like Kieron Pollard. Shahrukh struck at 127 in the IPL when others in the team failed to get going. His domestic numbers are head and shoulders above anyone who bats at the death. He averages 44 and strikes at 110.8 in List A cricket. There is serious potential in Shahrukh Khan. He is surely a finisher in the making.
