In the 19th match of the 13th edition of IPL, DC VS RCB, Delhi Capitals posted massive 196 runs with the loss of 4 wickets. Marcus Stoinis, the hero of the show scored an unbeaten fifty and along with contributions from Prithvi Shaw (42), Shikhar Dhawan (32), Shreyas Iyer (11), and Rishabh Pant (37) brought Delhi Capitals close enough to 200 marks.

No doubt it is a stiff target for RCB.

Let’s check out the 2nd innings.

Aaron Finch had been dropped two times in two overs as Royal Challengers Bangalore started their hunt for 197 runs. After 2 overs, RCB 15/0.

In the last ball of 2nd over, Ravichandran Ashwin got the man in form, Devdutt Padikkal, caught by Stoinis. Padikkal came back to the pavilion by making just 4 runs in 6 balls. In 3 overs, RCB 20/1.

Axar Patel struck in his first over to dismiss Aaron Finch. In 14 balls, Aaron Finch scored 13 runs. Anrich Nortje was also able to send back the hazardous AB de Villiers for only 9 runs a little earlier.

The bowlers of Delhi Capitals managed to keep Virat Kohli quiet as the asking rate to win the match continued to climb. After the dismissal of Moeen Ali, Kagiso Rabada picked up the big wicket of captain Kohli in the 13th over to hurt RCB’s hopes big time. Kohli missed making a half-century, made 43 runs in 39 balls with 2 boundaries and one six.

In the 1st ball of the 17th over, Rabada gave Shivam Dube no room and he pulled the ball direct to Ashwin at mid-wicket. Kagiso Rabada was on fire. He finished with 4 wickets by conceding 24 runs to bring Delhi Capitals close to a big victory.

Nortje cleaned up the wicket of Mohammed Siraj. The bowlers of Delhi Capitals swept past the batting order of Royal Challengers Bangalore. That’s the stunning performance by Delhi Capitals and was able to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by massive 59 runs.  It was the biggest win of Delhi Capitals in this season in terms of runs.
