2020 IPL: RCB vs DC: Stoinis And Shaw Assault Lift DC To 196/4 Against RCB

In the 19th match of 2020 IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore is playing against Delhi Capitals at the Dubai International Stadium. Now, RCB is placed at the third position in the points table after four matches. They have started their tournament by winning against Sunrisers Hyderabad, followed by a loss to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), won against Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals is placed at the second position by winning four matches. They started their campaign with a victory over KXIP, followed by a victory over CSK, lost to SRH, and a victory against KKR.

1st Innings:

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to field first. After a spectacular beginning, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw dismissed very quickly by Isuru Udana and Mohammad Siraj respectively. Prithvi Shaw scored 42 runs in 23 balls and Dhawan made 32 runs in 28 balls.

After the dismissal of two openers, in the 11th over, Delhi Capitals captain, Shreyas Iyer is out caught in the deep by Devdutt Padikkal. A massive wicket for Delhi Capitals, dismissed by Moeen Ali.  Iyer went for 11. DC 90/3.

In the 18th over, the fantastic  89 runs partnership between Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis had broken by Mohammed Siraj as he bowled out Pant. In 25 delivery, Pant scored 37 runs.

The amazing innings of Marcus Stoinis provided Delhi Capitals the impetus to end the innings on a high score. In 26 balls, he scored 53 runs. And Delhi Capitals scored 194/4. This is the highest score against the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore. The set up of the innings was just perfect from Delhi Capitals.

RCB has a mountain to climb. Can they give a better show this time?
