Watch: KL Rahul Makes A Request To Kane Williamson After Win

For India KL Rahul’s form and consistency was the biggest takeaway from their dominant series win over New Zealand. For his record-breaking performance, he was adjudged as man of the series. After the final match, Rahul spoke that how he had a great time with Kane Williamson back in 2014, 2015 when they played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Rahul also added that to the New Zealand Captain, this game is pretty similar and as Williamson went about his business he loved watching him in that way. Nonetheless, in the meantime, he also hoped that the New Zealand captain did not say about the upcoming ODI series or even the IPL.

“With Kane, I had a great time when we both were playing for Sunrisers during 2014, 2015. Talking to him about batting I have spent a lot of time. I guess we have got similar batting styles, Watching him during batting I learned a lot,” KL Rahul told reporters after the match.

” Watching Kane Williamson bat is like a treat and hopefully, in the coming 3 ODIs, we would not like to be treated in the innings of Kane” – KL Rahul

” Hopefully, not even for IPL he can save it because he is playing opposite me. Any other series will be fine.”

Due to a shoulder injury, Kane Williamson was unable to play the last two matches of New Zealand. Over his captaincy, there was a question mark as in the series – where New Zealand suffered a 5-0 whitewash. It came immediately as the side had defeated against Australia in the Test series.

” Kane is such a great guy. We have similar mindsets and similar philosophies. It is great that – despite we are from different parts of the world, we speak the same language and have similar kinds of thinking,” Virat Kohli said after the historic win of India in New Zealand.

” Despite what the scoreline says, I believe that Cricket of New Zealand is in the best hands and to lead this team he is the right guy. To lead them – he is the perfect guy. I wish him success and support in leading this side in the future. They are one side that everyone loves watching and playing against,” Virat Kohli said.
