Virat Kohli Urges People To Follow Narendra Modi To Combat Coronavirus

Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian cricket team, has asked all the country’s people to obey the safety measures introduced on Thursday by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his tweet, Virat Kohli wrote that, in the wake of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, “we must be vigilant, attentive and conscious. Be alert, alert and mindful of the danger posed by Covid 19. As responsible people, we need to adhere to the standards set for our safety as stated by our Honorable Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji. # IndiaFightsCorona,” read Kohli’s tweet.

On Thursday PM Modi urged the country’s people to opt for a ‘ Janata Curfew ‘ on Sunday from 7 a.m. By 9 p.m.

Many sporting activities across the globe have either been postponed or cancelled as the cases of coronavirus continue to rise.

The most recent ODI series by the Indian cricket team against South Africa has been abandoned to avoid coronavirus spread.

In addition, the BCCI postponed the launch of the Indian Premier League this year amid mounting concern over the coronavirus pandemic in India.

The start of the IPL was “as a precautionary measure” put back over the coronavirus from March 29 to April 15, the Indian cricket board said.

Players Undergo Self Isolation:

Cricket players who have recently returned from tournaments have advised to undergo self-isolation, and have been placed under house quarantine. PSL tournmanet, India and South Africa tournament and other series have been called off due to the ongoing coronavirus scare.
