Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul Are The Future – VVS Laxman

VVS Laxman Praised The Kohli’s Men:

VVS Lakshman applauded the Team India for the victory of 3-0 T20I five-match series against New Zealand in Auckland. He was not only admired but also impressed by the fighting spirit shown by whole Virat Kohli’s team In the T20I series.

Lakshman says – “India achieved three consecutive ultimate wins, India a vice-like grip over New Zealand in the Tewnty20 International series. This fantasy start to the multi-format tour is indicative of the mindset and fighting spirit of this Indian group”.

“I was impressed by what Virat said driving into the series that in spite of a hard-battled three-match ODI series against Australia, the long trip to Auckland, the short turnaround time and completely various conditions, his side would not have been searching for excuses, that they would be turned on from ball one of the first T20I. That addresses the attitude of the unit all in all, and it showed itself in the brand of cricket they played throughout the end of the week”.

Laxman said about Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul for appreciating as both played their role perfectly in India’s win. Rahul has impressed everyone with half-centuries in both matches and his spontaneous play. He is enjoying the dual role of wicketkeeper as well as an opening batsman.

I Never Have Been Doubted On KL Rahul’s Talent:

“The first game started with a target of 204 runs, the second with 132 runs. India was detached in both matches. The same players which were played in both matches delivering the good. It was not the simple match-winners who came up with advantages” – He said

He added – “Alternatively, and effectively with the large picture in my mind, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul became strong of their coming age at this level. Both players are taking up the responsibilities of leading the team from the home side”.

Later He Spoke on Rahul’s Talent – ” I never have been doubted on Rahul’s talent since he broke through towards the end of 2014. He seemed he has changed his way of playing style and applying tricks in the last few months, since being dropped from the Test team. He has gone back and verified himself and has returned stronger and more control in his game plan. He played in the two series which seems he is situationally more adjusted in and like the true winner of that match”.

” No 4 player, Iyer scored 58runs in 29 balls in the first match and 44 runs in 33 balls. He showed maturity in his game. Shreyas Iyer is improving his game in every outing and surely he can play aerial strokes point confidently. He has got an impression by the last two hits.” VVS Laxman, the former player said.
