New Zealand Players Undergo Self Isolation

Players Placed Under Self Isolation As Ordered:

Upon their return from Australia, in the aftermath of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the New Zealand men’s cricket team, including support staff, was placed under self-isolation for a mandatory 14-day duration.

Richard Boock, manager of public relations at the NZC said: “They (Black Caps players and touring staff) all went into self-isolation.”

“We’ve passed on all the information of what self-isolation entails and as far as we know they’re just strictly observing it” read reports.

The Kane Williamson led team had to return after the midway postponement of the three-match Chappell Hadlee series. The series ‘ first ODI was played on the Sydney Cricket Ground in front of empty stands where New Zealand suffered a 71-run loss.

Just like the Black Caps, after they returned from India following the cancelation of the three-match ODI series, the South African team was also put under self-isolation.
