Kyle Jamieson made his debut in the first Test match of New Zealand against India in ongoing India’s tour to New Zealand. And his amazing debut performance in the massive victory over India left his team with a selection difficulty as they look to sweep the two-Test series.

New Zealand didn’t allow India to score at least a 200 as their bowlers kept an aggressive bowling-attack. India only managed to score a total of 165 in its first innings and lost by 10 wickets from the Black Caps on Monday.

Kyle took four for 39 and confused India’s batsmen with his bounce deliveries, he further intensifies his performance with the bat. He hit 44 in 45 deliveries including 4 sixes during the New Zealand inning.

He sparked a late scoring rush, where the last three wickets contributed more than one-third of New Zealand’s first innings 348. His performance in the Test was so huge that the skipper of his team, Kane Williamson gave special praise to the player.

In the post-match presentation, the New Zealand captain Kane Williamson stated that Kyle was brilliant on his debut, he has come and made valuable contributions in the Tests throughout the summer. It was a great debut for Kyle as he contributed in a number of ways in the test match.

The India skipper Virat Kohli also agreed that the late-order batting of Jamieson, Colin de Grandhomme Trent Boult, and Ajaz Patel played a major role in the match as New Zealand settled a crucial score of 183 in first innings.

Kohli also admitted that now India will face an inescapable criticism from the fans for this defeat from the New Zealand team. And he accepts the truth that they were not at their best in the game and there is no shame in taking that.
